Level goal
Earn $10,000 by completing customer orders. If the balance falls below -$1,000 or Rick loses all three lives, the shift is over.
A free 8-bit browser game by VlasovLab, inspired by the everyday chaos of a small electronics development bureau. The development is not finished, tests have not passed, and customers are already waiting. The unhappy boss walks around the lab, while the AI robot politely creates new problems.
A young developer named Rick H works in a small bureau that develops electronic devices. Things are going well for Rick and nothing seems to threaten the routine.
Over time he notices that the company has too many office workers and too few developers, and the recently purchased AI robot has already started aiming at Rick’s long-time customers. The rude boss becomes more arrogant, and customers increasingly prefer AI. Rick is not happy with this situation and decides to take matters into his own hands. His plan is to create his own product and start his own company, where, as he hopes, everything will be arranged differently.
Rick must pass 10 levels of routine repetitive work to assemble his device and start selling it. But many employees, and the boss himself, do not let our hero work calmly: they literally follow him around, constantly demanding faster task completion. Rick starts to burn out. Only steady coffee intake and communication with a colleague he has liked for a long time save the poor guy. Office intrigue, gossip, hidden games and colleague tricks keep him tense and motivate him to move toward his dream even faster.
Collect circuit boards and place completed orders on the order table, drink coffee, try to avoid unpleasant meetings with stuffy office managers and the angry boss, and do not forget to flirt with the secretary. After saving enough money you will be able to buy everything needed for your product and move to the next level. Danger waits at every step, and AI already wants to take the developer’s last piece of bread.
Game rules
Earn $10,000 by completing customer orders. If the balance falls below -$1,000 or Rick loses all three lives, the shift is over.
Up to five customers may wait at once. Each asks for 1-4 boards of one colour. Remember the request or watch the small coloured number above the customer.
Boards come in green, blue, red and yellow. Rick initially carries four. Unneeded boards take up space; an ACTION at a waste basket discards the oldest board first.
Do not hand boards directly to a customer. Carry the requested circuit boards into the green delivery zone beside the order table; Rick places them on the table automatically. An order may be delivered in parts, but the customer pays only after the complete set is ready.
Fast orders pay a bonus. If a customer leaves without the full order, Rick loses money, gains burnout and receives a few professional comments from management.
The boss and office workers raise burnout. The robot drops bananas and machine oil, office workers scatter papers, and the robot may also take a board. At 100% burnout Rick loses a life.
Coffee lowers burnout. Time alone with Jessica works faster and may start a reaction mini-game after 10 seconds. Success clears burnout and may restore a life.
Move with WASD or arrow keys. SPACE performs ACTION, M opens the menu. On touch devices, use the floating joystick and the action button.
